Group for Railway and Intermodal Transport and International Affairs
The Group for Railway and Intermodal Transport and International Affairs carries out tasks related to: preparation of expert bases for the drafting of laws and proposals of other regulations in the field of railway and intermodal transport; monitoring the application of legal and other regulations in the field of railway and intermodal transport; contracting and monitoring the implementation of the contract on the obligation of public transport; development of logistics centers and services; making analysis of the situation and problems in the transport of cargo and passengers by rail; monitoring the status and economic position of the railway undertaking; monitoring the development of modern transport technologies and proposing measures for their incentives; monitoring of international regulations in the field of railway and intermodal transport; proposing measures for the development of logistics centers and services; cooperation with other state institutions in order to create the basis for the development of the network of intermodal transport terminals; monitoring international conventions and other international regulations and standards relating to rail transport; monitoring and participation in the work of international organizations (OTIF, UNECE, SEETO); preparing the proposal for the conclusion of an agreement on the regulation of border railway transport and other bilateral agreements; preparation of project proposals and monitoring the realization of projects in the field of railway and intermodal transport; analysis of the impact of rail transport costs on the economy and the participation of rail transport in the transport market; transport policy and price and subsidy policy in the transport of freight and passengers by rail, as well as other activities from the scope of the Group.
