Article 21

The Department for Development and Management of Railway Infrastructure performs tasks related to: preparation of expert bases for drafting laws and proposals of other regulations in the field of railways; monitoring the implementation of legal and other regulations in the field of railways; the strategy of railway infrastructure development; development of opinions on rail infrastructure maintenance programs, organization and regulation of rail transport, as well as the construction and reconstruction of railway infrastructure, business program, five-year plan and other plans in the field of railways and monitoring their implementation; preparation for realization and realization of international loans and other investments in railway infrastructure; monitoring the status and economic situation of infrastructure managers; contracting and monitoring the implementation of contracts for the management of rail infrastructure; proposal and monitoring the implementation of projects in the field of railway infrastructure development; development of a model for financing railway infrastructure; activities related to Corridor 10 (organizations, forums, conferences); monitoring and analysis of the state of the railway infrastructure system; participation in the work of mixed commissions; cooperation with other state institutions in order to develop the railway infrastructure; cooperation with international financial institutions, as well as other activities from the scope of the Department.
